The double-pulsar binary J0737–3039

A recent multibeam pulsar survey of the outer Galactic plane at Parkes has discovered the first-known double-pulsar binary, a very compact double neutron star system in which both stars are observable as radio pulsars. In this review, we briefly describe the discovery and the studies which have been enabled by the unique properties of the system. These range from the most precise confirmation yet of the theory of general relativity, with the possibility of even more new tests and the measurement of second-order post-Newtonian effects, to studies of the magnetospheres and emission properties of the two pulsars. The discovery also results in a significant increase in the expected rate of occurrence of the mergers of double neutron star systems, and hence the rate of detection of such events by the new ground-based gravitational wave detectors.     

The Crab pulsar seen with AquEYE at Asiago Cima Ekar observatory

We are developing fast photon-counter instruments to study the rapid variability of astrophysical sources by time tagging photon arrival times with unprecedented accuracy, making use of a Rubidium clock and GPS receiver. The first realization of such optical photon-counters, dubbed AquEYE (the Asiago Quantum Eye), was mounted in 2008 at the 182 cm Copernicus Observatory in Asiago. AquEYE observed the Crab pulsar several times and collected data of extraordinary quality that allowed us to perform accurate optical timing of the Crab pulsar and to study the pulse shape stability on a timescale from days to years with an excellent definition. Our results reinforce the evidence for decadal stability of the inclination angle between the spin and magnetic axis of the Crab pulsar. Future realizations of our instrument will make use of the Galileo Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) time signal.     

某型机燃油增压异常的分析与研究

针对某型机开车后燃油系统输油时油箱增压存在异常的现象,结合该型机燃油系统通气增压原理,分析了该故障的可能原因,并通过地面试验最终排除故障。     

煤基喷气燃料在地面单管燃烧室内燃烧和排放特性研究

为研究煤基喷气燃料的燃烧和排放特性,通过改造的单管燃烧室评估了煤基喷气燃料和石油基RP-3喷气燃料的燃烧和排放特性差异.试验结果表明:煤基喷气燃料具有更加优异的贫油点火和贫油熄火性能,两种喷气燃料的燃烧和排放特性随燃油流量和燃烧室出口温度的改变呈现出一致的变化趋势,在相同质量流量下,煤基喷气燃料的燃烧和排放性能要低于RP-3,在相同燃烧室出口温度时,煤基喷气燃料燃烧时的壁温要低于RP-3.      

航空活塞二冲程发动机的可变排气阀换气过程

航空活塞二冲程发动机的换气过程直接影响发动机的性能,采用可变排气阀可以改善发动机的动力性能。通过GT-Power软件搭建发动机一维整机模型,进行可变排气阀的仿真研究,分析了发动机在不同转速、不同排气阀状态下的换气过程及排气阀状态对换气过程的影响。在此基础上,还对定速巡航工况下(6500r/min转速、50%节气门开度)的排气阀状态进行了优化。结果表明:不同的排气阀状态可以改变发动机排气过程压力波动的相位,从而影响发动机的换气品质及燃烧过程;在定速巡航工况下,排气阀为中等开度时(初级阀关闭、次级阀开启),其发动机动力性能达到最优。     

大型水轮发电机通风特性的数值模拟研究

采用多重参考坐标系方法、多孔介质模型和并行计算方法求解三维平均N-S方程和RNGκ-ε方程,对某一大型水轮发电机双路径向无风扇通风系统的流场进行了数值模拟,分析了通风系统中各部件的流动特性及其对发电机整体通风风量的影响.为了给有限元热应力分析提供合理的壁面换热系数,严格控制了第一层壁面网格的厚度,使其y+值在30-100之间.研究表明:由于上、下回路中的气流流经线棒端部的流量较少,采用固定磁极盖板或旋转磁极盖板及磁极盖板有无泄露间隙将直接影响线棒端部的散热,有泄露间隙的旋转磁极盖板形成具有旋转速度的“气墙”,在“气墙”的诱导下,在内侧线棒端部周围形成回流区,并诱导经冷却器冷却后的气流从外侧线棒端部进入该回流区,改善了内侧线棒端部表面的散热性能;由于受磁极旋转效应的影响,整个通风流道内的主要通风耗损来自于定子通风槽入口处的流动损失,定子通风槽内形成迎风区和背风区,背风区内易产生回流区,迎风区内的换热系数高于背风区内的换热系数.研究结果为大型水轮发电机通风流道的优化设计提供依据.     

均匀流吹吸式通风实验研究

介绍了吹吸式通风气流的特点,并对吹吸风口间距3.5～3.8m时的低速流场的吹吸式通风气流流场的规律特性进行了实验研究。结果表明,当吹吸风口间距小于3.8m时,低速流场吹吸式通风的气流在射流起始段未结束时就进入了汇流段(吹吸气流流场中未出现射流主体段)。高速流场吹吸式通风的轴心速度经验公式与低速流场的吹吸式通风实验结果式对比分析,发现两者之间存在较大的偏差。高速流场吹吸式通风的轴心速度经验公式不适用于描述低速流场吹吸式通风轴心速度的规律特性。     

Oxygen line mapping of SN 1006 with Suzaku

SN 1006 is one of the supernova remnants (SNRs) with relatively low-temperature electrons, considering the young age of just 1000 years. We carried out SN 1006 mapping observations with the X-ray Imaging Spectrometers (XIS) and the Hard X-ray Detector (HXD) onboard Suzaku, the fifth Japanese X-ray satellite. Thanks to the excellent spectral resolution of XIS in the soft X-ray band, H-like and He-like oxygen emission lines were clearly detected, and we could make a map of the line intensity, and as well as a flux and the photon index of nonthermal component. We found that these parameters have spatial dependences from region to region in the SNR; the north region is bright in nonthermal, while dim in thermal; the east region is bright in both nonthermal and thermal; the inner region shows dim nonthermal and bright thermal emission. The photon index is the smallest in the north region.

New evidence for strong non-thermal effects in Tycho’s supernova remnant

For the case of Tycho’s supernova remnant (SNR), we present the relation between the blast wave and contact discontinuity radii calculated within the nonlinear kinetic theory of cosmic ray (CR) acceleration in SNRs. It is demonstrated that these radii are confirmed by recently published Chandra measurements which show that the observed contact discontinuity radius is very close to the shock radius. Therefore a consistent explanation of these observations can be given in terms of efficient CR acceleration which makes the medium more compressible.
